I made this piece by creating the chords, bassline, and digital drum track first, and then I improvised on guitar to the track. My inspiration for the song was a fictional short story I wrote previously about an elderly lady whose mom passed away, but she stays connected to her through music. I based the chords and my improvisation on what I think music and her mom sound like to the elderly lady in my story.

To me, creativity is an expression of feelings, thoughts, and even sometimes questions. As a musician, I create music to express what I am feeling. It doesn't necessarily need to be through words, sometimes it is through instruments, but it is a way to process what is in my head.
