Between You and the Screen

This piece reflects on the moment where human instinct meets digital design. I drew a single hand reaching toward a glowing screen in the dark to show how natural it has become to seek connection through technology. The pop-up windows spilling outside the screen represent the way digital spaces no longer stay contained. They follow us, interrupt us, and shape our attention even when we are not fully aware of it. While making this artwork, I focused on the contrast between light and shadow to put an emphasis on the tension between the pull of technology versus the physical world we are rooted in. I want viewers to consider how often they reach for a screen without thinking, and how those small gestures can reveal our evolving relationship with the tools we rely on daily.

Creativity means solving problems in ways that feel natural to me and expressing ideas that do not fit into straightforward explanations. Not only does it communicate information, but at the same time, it communicates experience.
