I’m turning 17 in 3 days (As of Dec 9, 2025) and I recently passed my driver’s license test. These two facts have shaken me and made me realize that I’ve entered a new period of my life, where I’m seen as capable of different things than as a pre-teen or child. This piece is about my reaction to these changes, what I’m losing and gaining. As well as my recent experience with driving and how I am growing away from childhood. The character featured in this illustration is me. My car key has a Four leaf clover keychain attached to it, it’s my lucky charm.

Creativity is a skill that exists within me, directly connected to my image, emotions, self-worth, and self-understanding. It serves as a way to try and fail without consequences. It serves as a vessel for connection and impact, when building on another’s ideas creates something new, it’s collaboration that feels divine.
