Borrowed Warmth

When I visited Mongolia during last winter break, I saw how different their daily life was from ours. My memory of withered grass and frigid air connects directly to this painting. In Mongolia, almost all the families lived in wide, open grasslands, far from cities, and their days were shaped by nature instead of technologies like us. I remember seeing people ride horses across huge empty fields, and it felt completely separate from the fast, crowded world I was used to. Life there felt slower. This painting portrays a little girl shivering in the cold, with her dad’s jacket on, baggy and worn, but I know it’s warm. This shows how love can be passed down through simple things. The girl’s cheeks red from the cold, and even though I never met her, she still reminds me of the quiet strength and simplicity I saw in Mongolia during my trip.

As someone who loves Art, creativity means seeing the world in new ways and turning imagination into something visible. It’s the joy of expressing feelings, ideas, and stories through paintbrushes, lenses, or chisels.
