This is a collection of items that show what childhood means to me. The bracelet chains, glass water squirter, dollhouse table, wooden elephant, and stuffed dog have been passed down to me from my mom. Ferns, plants, and caterpillars provide a little more of who I am now, that I have grown and changed, but that I am also still undergoing change. Showing that I am still unfurling, discovering who I am and my place in society. The overlap in the drawing between the items from my mom and the natural elements show how I am a collection of my past and the space I have to grow.

Creativity is the bravery to explore new possibilities. It doesn't worry about replicating what has been done or fitting into boxes. And in this freedom, creativity becomes a reflection of the artist: who they are, what they believe in, and the boundaries they want to push.
