This piece is a figure drawing of one of my favorite music artists over the last few years of exploring my identity, Conan Gray. As I have been learning and growing, I have always admired his resistance to gender norms. Conan Gray is a cisgender man but is frequently seen wearing skirts or other traditionally-feminine-perceived clothes. I like that he doesn't let his gender or others' opinions change what he wears. I support breaking gender norms and dressing in clothes that make you feel like yourself. I firmly believe that anybody can dress feminine, masculine, or androgynous, regardless of their gender.

Creativity is the universal language of art. Everybody can look at a picture and interpret it in their own way. To me, art means not just conveying my emotions and portraying a message, but deliberately leaving room for others' unique perspectives.
