An art piece expressing the identity crisis experienced through clash of two cultures that the artist had experienced. The Irworobongdo background reflects the artist’s Korean roots. The tiger drawn in realism is closer to the Western style of art, while also being a symbol of South Korea. This tiger represents the artist who holds onto both meanings of Korea and America. Its calm posture shows she has found peace with her identity, and the blend of styles represents her harmonious resolution.

Creativity is home. It is a place of comfort where it gives me freedom, a place of joy where imagination comes alive, and a place of identity where I can fully be myself without feat or limit. Creativity is a sanctuary that allows endless possibility.
