Dinner With the In-Laws

In my film, Dinner With the In-Laws, I wanted to create a comedy and holiday film, while also representing the Latino household this film takes place it. I used pacing, silence, and even colors rather than only really on dialogue. By focusing on the mom's frantic attempt to cook a dinner quickly, and from scratch, the film escalates with tension as it leads to a disappointing and humorous reveal at the end. Though it's a small film, I hope to show a comedic film filled with stress, love, and culture.

To me, creativity is not just a form of letting your emotions out, but instead a way to keep your brain and curiosity growing. There are always new things to learn, and once we do learn them, there is so much we can do with just our creativity and hearts.
