Does the Silence Listen to Me?

This poem is about struggling with guilt, shame, and the feeling of being lost, and finding hope through faith. I wanted to show what it feels like to be trapped in cycles of sin and self-doubt, and how crying out to God can bring peace and light even in the darkest moments. I used scripture to guide the poem’s journey, connecting personal struggle with the promise of forgiveness and God’s presence. The imagery comes from both the body and the physical world to make emotions real and immediate. Ultimately, this piece is about calling out, being heard, and discovering that even in despair, love and redemption are possible.

Creativity is the courage to explore inner truths, to shape emotion and experience into something tangible. It’s seeing the world differently, giving voice to the unseen, and transforming struggle, joy, or doubt into expression that connects, challenges, and inspires both myself and others.
