Don't Be Scared & My Last Stride

Don't be Sacred is a poem I made in my Freshmen year and I changed it to be more accurate based on my experiences. My Last Stride is a metaphor of my life and current feelings. I am a cross country runner who ran 3.1 miles for competitions. As a high school senior, I am really looking forward to graduating. It has been three years of high school, yet now that the end is so near, I am scared. I pushed myself academically to make my parents proud. I mentioned how I continued running in reference to how I continued to study to achieve academic excellence. In the end, I mention I don't know whether to continue running or making it my last race. In other words, I don't know if I want to live to make them proud or finally make my own decisions.

Creativity means coming up with something that explains who you are, what you think, or what you value. It doesn't need to be perfect, as long as it represents you.
