I wrote my first poem as a high school junior about appreciating the Earth around us. I wrote the second poem as a high school senior trying to appreciate the youth of today while dealing with the complexities of graduating and becoming an adult so soon. Both poems are about appreciating what you have because it everything may not stay the same forever. Especially as someone who lives in a tech-centered world, appreciating the environment and my youth are important to me.

Creativity is expressing one's emotions and perspectives to increase others' worldview and to increase one's own self-appreciation. Creativity is not necessarily creating something out of nothing, but rather using what others have created in new ways, original to the unique life experience of one person.
