• Artist Statement

  This poem captures the nostalgia and quiet afterlife of old memories filled with imagination, and championship that remain alive past their time. Explored through the light of a pair of wooden rockers are the young memories we cherish, but which are now forgotten, small artifacts that have watched us grow. While the poem centers on a forgotten rocking horse, its meaning extends beyond the literal object, inviting readers to consider the human experiences of invisibility, abandonment, and nostalgia.

  Creativity to me means the ability to create beautiful and meaningful things with no limits and challenging yourself to meet your potential and explore your imagination, trying new things like putting a puzzle together or mixing different colors of paint.
