• Artist Statement

  This photo I took explores the idea of duality and self discovery. Through long exposure, the subject appears ghostly, transitioning between two states: a guarded figure shielded by a mask, and a joyful and expressive young girl. This photograph represents different aspects of identity, personal growth, and becoming more comfortable embracing your true self beneath the surface.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to me means pulling together different aspects of your personality, learned information, inspirations, and imagination to express yourself or to create something. I use creativity in my everyday life, whether it be solving practical problems, or creating artworks.
