• Artist Statement

  In the artwork "Evenfall", I aim to depict the aesthetics of twilight, combining this theme with cultural ties. The character of interest is depicted wearing gold earrings, a purple saree that reflects the pink hues of twilight clouds, with the sun behind her being shown with the colors of a layered sunset. The sprouting flowers are inspired off of moonflowers and glow in her deep gold-brown highlighted hair. I also experimented with hues of gold to create a symmetric border pattern. Overall, the artwork shows how aesthetics tie in with cultural identity.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is the mind's expansion. However, it is not limited to this definition, as it is also an expansion of everything around us, whether concrete or abstract, even ideas that our mind can't perceive. Creativity unites us as humans. However, it is also what makes each one of us unique.
