"Eyes of Hope" is a charcoal drawing of a young boy whose large eyes mirror the environment he is growing up in.I selected charcoal for its rawness—its deep tones, its gentle textures, and its capacity to reveal light through deliberate effort.Within these eyes, I aimed to encapsulate the blend of fear and strength that many children experience today as they confront conflict, displacement, and the repercussions of a shifting climate. Despite the weight of the world, children inherently maintain a sense of hope, which I highlighted through the vivid reflections in his eyes. His gaze encourages viewers to pause and acknowledge the personal narratives behind today’s news, reminding us that our current decisions will influence the future he will face.Ultimately, this artwork is about nurturing hope even in uncertain times and choosing empathy amidst adversity.

To me, creativity is expressing my thoughts and emotions through the world around me. It turns life’s experiences into inspiration, uplifts others, supports my mental well-being, and helps me release stress. Through art, I find freedom, healing, and a powerful way to connect with myself and others.
