  • The piece conveys beauty without a face; it is an ode to the age of social media, where societal standards of “beauty” have become so widely broadcasted. The white charcoal serves to make the silhouette almost glow, adding to the ghostly “faded” appearance. The flowers, though beautiful, represent the almost strangling feeling that these expectations of beauty often instill.

  • Creativity means expressing how one feels about the world around them through whatever methods they feel drawn to. Creativity is found in the smallest doodles and the largest portraits, in any medium, and in the natural world around us. Creativity is what makes humanity human.
