This is a functioning piggy bank that I hand sculpted from clay, bisque-fired, painted with underglazes and a top glaze, and finished with a high-fire. I chose to combine a wild Zebra with a domestic Pig. This piece represents how we often overlook the ordinary and yet find ways to criticize those that stand out. As a Teenager I constantly find myself trying to find the perfect in between, even while knowing deep down that every person should wear their unique set of stripes with pride.

For me, creativity means interpreting the outer world, engaging in self-examination, and reforming experience through an artistic lens. It's about transforming ideas into something tangible and inspiring others to use their own imagination.
