For the Beauty of the Earth, arr. Paul John Rudoi

Incredibly, humans can use the instrument bestowed upon us—our voice—to create gloriously full and lush harmonies capturing the soul’s deepest feelings. I have sung all my life and trained in a boys chorus since I was six. I particularly love a cappella choral music. I created a one-person choir of me performing Paul John Rudoi’s For the Beauty of the Earth. Luckily, I have the vocal range to sing all parts from bass two to tenor one in this arrangement. I used my audio production skills with Ableton Live 11, a SHURE SM58 cardioid dynamic microphone, and a 3rd-generation Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface to create, layer, and process the recordings of my vocal performance. My photos accompany the work. Taking the time to appreciate the beauty of the earth, the wonders of each hour, and the joy of human love makes life infinitely more fulfilling and meaningful.

Creativity is expressing emotion and meaning. Music is the most powerful way of conveying emotions and the universal language of the soul that transcends all else. My music is intended to serve as a reminder to live with joy and gratitude for life and nature, never taking them for granted.
