Frog Over Forest

Jacob G.

Acrylic Paint and Sharpie on Carving Foam

  • This piece explores the delicate balance between observation and presence within the natural world. Using acrylic and sharpie on carved foam, I juxtapose a lone frog suspended above a wilderness landscape to suggest both guardianship and reflection. The frog becomes a quiet witness, vulnerable and hovering between reality and imagination, while the textured foam surface showcases the shifting, layered qualities of nature itself. By combining bold linework with atmospheric color, I aim to invite viewers into a space where curiosity and stillness meet - encouraging them to reconsider their relationship with the wild environments that surround us.

  • To me, creativity means thinking outside the box and pushing boundaries. It's about being curious and discovering different ways to express myself.
