Frog Over Forest
Jacob G.
Acrylic Paint and Sharpie on Carving Foam
-
This piece explores the delicate balance between observation and presence within the natural world. Using acrylic and sharpie on carved foam, I juxtapose a lone frog suspended above a wilderness landscape to suggest both guardianship and reflection. The frog becomes a quiet witness, vulnerable and hovering between reality and imagination, while the textured foam surface showcases the shifting, layered qualities of nature itself. By combining bold linework with atmospheric color, I aim to invite viewers into a space where curiosity and stillness meet - encouraging them to reconsider their relationship with the wild environments that surround us.

To me, creativity means thinking outside the box and pushing boundaries. It's about being curious and discovering different ways to express myself.
