• Artist Statement

  The poems I write are a representation of the things I feel each day expanded to fit the page. When writing this I felt particularly drawn to the epic tales of wild western cowboys and their daring adventures but what really irked me was the fact that we don’t think about the anxiety and fear that they faced to become the great cowboys we’ve come to admire. That’s why I wrote this piece, to highlight the humility of these characters, to shed light on these emotions, and to help people connect to these stories on a personal level through the dry humor of old western films.
