Gigue & Double from Bach's Suite in C Minor

Bach wrote this piece for the lute, but it works beautifully on classical guitar. The Gigue is a fun, energetic dance, and the Double is like Bach's remix. He takes the same tune and makes it fancier with faster, more decorative notes. What I love about this piece is how much is going on at once. There are multiple melodies woven together, and the challenge is making each one clear while keeping the whole thing flowing. It's been a blast to learn, and I hope you enjoy listening as much as I've enjoyed playing it!

Creativity is finding your own voice within something that already exists. With Bach, the notes are written, but how I shape them, where I breathe, what I emphasize, that's where I get to add myself to music that's hundreds of years old.
