• Artist Statement

  The title of this piece is called Gold Rush. I wanted to empower how Gold holds a deep cultural significance in Mexico. It's a symbol of the sun, divine power, and the elite. My Mexican culture embraces our jewelry not to brag or show off but to show that we are proud to highlight what represents us and our ancestors. To be given my jewelry was an honor. It gives me the privilege to pass down generations of my prize position to the ones I love and believe they deserve.

• Creative Statement

  Being creativity can mean many things but personally being creativity comes from the brain, every artwork starts with brainstorming on materials or ideas but being creative doesn't mean looking up ideas on pinterest, being creative means to think and look of what's around you to make the artwork your own.
