Golden Hour Fog

This photo I captured freezes a moment in time, as fog rolls across the hills on Bollinas Ridge in Marin County. This photo creates a rolling effect of fog forming as the sun sets, with islands of trees isolated in the fog as well as the road acting as a leading line. I really enjoyed the process of capturing this photo just right, and adjusting my settings to create this effect. Through my editing process, I learned how to make the colors pop and brighten the highlights and shadows to create a depth effect in the image. I was challenged by having a small window of time where the light was just right, which was tricky to capture. Overall, I enjoyed all parts of this process and am very satisfied with how my photo turned out.

Creativity means to me being able to apply different skills someone has gathered, and to use them outside of their comfort zone in unexpected ways. This can achieved in the form of seeing something from many different angles or shaping interpretations of a variety of ideas.
