Cancer is a disease that is a part of many people's lives and has impacted many in various ways. The rarest type of cancer is heart cancer. When many think of an illness of the heart, they think of heart disease, which is the leading cause of death among Americans. Bringing awareness towards heart cancer is very important because it's usually overlooked. Through my art piece, I created a visual of heart cancer. The flower petals represent the cancer; they are red, the color of heart cancer, and bring awareness to the illness. I wanted to make the heart look as real as possible because the disease is a real issue that causes harm to so many all over the world. Through my art piece, I wanted to convey that no one is alone in the fight against cancer —we are all in this together.
