I want my teddy bear

This painting is based off of an old photo taken of myself when I was a toddler. While the exact memory of this moment is murky, I do remember that my favarite stuffed teddy bear had just been lost , and I was enraged. No amount of consoling would have calmed me down except for the safe return of my dear, life-long friend, my teddy bear. This photo and memory inspired me to paint this piece, as I wanted to capture the nostalgia the photo brought and also the sheer desperation my three year old self was feeling, the pain experience for having their life loved stuffed animal gone. This is also the reflection of the truth of life.

Creativity, to me, is the ability to form new, original ideas. It's the ability to conjure up something simply from my imagination and put that idea into action, a fundamental part in every aspect of life, giving me the skill to continuously create and evolve from my creative imagination.
