This project was inspired by Lucian Freud and Cristina Troufa, and the way they paint skin with unusual colors, texture, and form. I posed my model while taking his own inner emotions into consideration so that I may authentically portray him on the canvas. My intention was to create a sense of intimacy that allows the viewer to connect with the subject and how he feels, existing in his own skin.

Creativity means using your imagination to envision new possibilities for you to bring into the world. It means pushing your mind's limits to invent original ideas, while also finding inspiration in art made by others and in your own life.
