Kata Rokkar was a self choreographed solo, with inspiration taken from dance styles like whacking, samba, African dance and jazz/contemporary fusion. In the Summer of 2024, I partially tore my ACL and was unable to dance for the entire first half of the season. When I fully healed the following summer, I took inspiration from the physical and emotional journey during my recovery time, and translated that into the movement and storytelling in my solo. The feelings I tried to convey were my burning desire to get back on the stage, and to finally dance full out again.

Creativity means the freedom to express oneself in new and innovative ways. Creativity can originate from one's thoughts, emotions, and experiences to build something that evokes something in other people. Creativity can be used to help others, or just be observed. However, in the end, creativity frees the soul.
