Your time to go
“Your time to go” is a duet inspired by the themes of loss, grief, and despair that accompany parting.
The Performance
What does it mean to perform? Throughout American pop culture, countless elements have been borrowed from other cultures and reshaped to fit mainstream taste.
Silk and Steel
This artwork “Silk and Steel” perfectly sums up the dual nature of this choreography: Silk = The smooth, flowing, easy-looking surface of the performance: arms sweeping, body flowing, looks effortless.
You're the ONE
When creating this piece, I was most inspired by the collaboration of my team.
Tit For Tat
I wanted to bring out the fierce energy of this song, and the artist, Tate McRae inspires me completely.
JUST KEEP WATCHING
My dance “JUST KEEP WATCHING” holds a message for artists and audiences to trust the process whenever something seems off or unnerving.
Me and the Devil
Me and the devil is a battle about conflicting realities with yourself and society.
Kata Rokkar
Kata Rokkar was a self choreographed solo, with inspiration taken from dance styles like whacking, samba, African dance and jazz/contemporary fusion. In the Summer of 2024, I partially tore my ACL and was unable to dance for the entire first half of the season. When I fully healed the following summer, I took inspiration from the physical and emotional journey during my recovery time, and translated that into the movement and storytelling in my solo. The feelings I tried to convey were my burning desire to get back on the stage, and to finally dance full out again.
Rain Dance
In this Dance, I stepped out of my comfort zone and took risks with my choreography, it had been so long since I’ve done contemporary because of my passion for Hip-Hop Dance.
Macbeth in Motion: A Juggling Interpretation
I created Macbeth in Motion because I wanted people to see that juggling can be a form of dance, even if it’s not what they’re used to watching.
Liebestraum
Liebestraum is a contemporary piece that highlights the use of technique, circular movement, and partnering.
