I wanted to bring out the fierce energy of this song, and the artist, Tate McRae inspires me completely. Although I’m shy and reserved, whenever I put on my headphones, I can imagine unlocking another version of myself-almost an alter ego. I’m dancing in my head when I’m listening to her music, that’s what I hoped to convey. I connected with the artist’s expression style of confidence and womanhood, which shaped my overall mood of my performance. I created an ironic introduction and then switching to a fierce energetic presentation immediately as the beat drops. I emphasized sharp elements in the choreography to match the vibe and lyrics. At the end, I focused on delivering a fearless stage presence.
