Macbeth in Motion: A Juggling Interpretation

I created Macbeth in Motion because I wanted people to see that juggling can be a form of dance, even if it’s not what they’re used to watching. For me, juggling isn’t just tricks - it’s choreography. It has timing, musicality, breath, focus, and emotion. The narration from Macbeth guides my movement choices, and each pattern becomes a physical reaction to the story. When Macbeth loses control, the juggling becomes faster and unstable. When doubt creeps in, my movement slows and tightens with purpose. I know this style is unconventional, and that’s exactly why I love it. I want to expand what “dance” can look like by blending classical literature with circus movement. My goal is to make people stop and think! Can movement tell a story even without traditional dance steps? I believe it can, and I hope this piece opens minds to new possibilities in performance.

To me, creativity means daring to be vulnerable. Circus and juggling let me express myself, step out of my comfort zone, take risks, and reveal sides of myself people wouldn’t otherwise see.
