• Artist Statement

  This piece is titled “One Name” because there was truly only one name that changed my life. At my lowest point of life Jesus changed my life. I was saved from my anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. When I called on Jesus everything changed. The way I express my thanks to my Lord is through dance, including choreographing and performing. This dance I choreographed and performed with one of my close friends Nashari. It was performed to a secular crowd, in which they thoroughly enjoyed and felt our passion. This is my favorite dance because I know lives were changed through it! I am dancing on the left.

• Creative Statement

  I express my creativity through the art of dance. Creativity is my outlet to freedom. Expressing myself outwardly from the feelings within. I use my dance as an outreach to the lost souls who are burden; a sound of hope. Dance is a language with no barriers and no walls.
