Life After Death

  • This artwork pairs a human skull with the portrait of a woman to examine the relationship between life and mortality. The woman’s image reflects identity and emotion, while the skull serves as a reminder of time’s permanence. By placing these forms together, I aim to highlight the tension between beauty and impermanence. To deepen this exploration, I deliberately cut both complete portraits into pieces, disrupting their wholeness. This act allowed me to confront my own attachment to permanence and acknowledge how fragmentation can reveal new meaning within what remains.

  • Creativity means taking risks and going outside of your personal comfort zone to express emotions and ideas. Creativity is not just about creating art, it’s about seeing possibilities and going above and beyond of what’s expected and turning imagination into something real for everyone to see.
