LOOP is a collaborative project written, filmed, and edited by students in the SF FILM Starter Lab during the summer of 2025. We brainstormed the project while walking around our classroom building located at the University of San Francisco and thought about how isolating work and school for lonely teens and young adults can be, and that got us thinking how this can be shown with someone getting stuck in a time loop. Our co-writer/editor Montse did a great job of portraying the angst and alienation we were trying to show through our script. I was in charge of assembling most of the rough cut and synching up sound in post production; this version is my final edit.

Creativity for me is making something that fits who I am, expresses my personality, and reflects my values. When I'm making a film I spend a long time getting details to reflect my vision and if I'm collaborating I make sure others' voices are reflected as well.
