• Artist Statement

  Macaws are brightly colored birds, not found in the bay area unless kept as a pet. My goal is to make the beauty of the macaw make its way to the human eye. They live in heavily forested jungles, those jungles of which are being destroyed and with it the beauty and life of the macaw. With reaching the human eye and making people realize the beauty of these animals it may help preserve there species or make people realize what we are doing. The Black and white of the background makes the macaw seem out of place and makes it pop. Out of place of the green jungle home it usually lives and is found in, out of place because of us and our selfishness and greed, and blindness towards mother natures beauty.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity means to me the most your brain can imagine and what your body can carry out based upon that imagination, without the help of outside input. Eg. you drawing, painting, photography, dancing, and more are all forms of creativity.
