Alcohol Markers, Micron Pens, & GellyRoll Pens on 11'' x 8'' Paper

  • I wanted to capture the vibrancy and liveliness of all the miscellaneous items you may find at a market stall. I mainly featured plants in my work because of how they represent vitality and growth. I referenced old photos of various markets I've seen while traveling, hoping to evoke a semblance of that sense of discovery in viewers. I mainly outlined my work in pencil and then micron pens, before layering in colors with alcohol markers.

  • Exploring new ideas and immersing yourself in the process of creating something. It doesn't always have to be art. It can apply to a number of things, as long as it involves a bit of experimentation, a willingness to learn, and passion.
