Linoleum slab and colored ink

This custom stamp I created was in honor of my mother who chose this design for me to carve out of a linoleum slab. This was a very intricate and highly time consuming piece that made me think. I had to carve letters in backwards and make sure to follow the guidelines I drew on the slab beforehand. I made this piece in my beginning art class freshman year and I had never created art with linoleum and ink mediums. I had to use different sized carving tools as well.
