• Artist Statement

  Inspired by the technical and the natural worlds of bioengineering, I draw inspiration from the "chimeric" nature of CARs to create a representation with both animals and machinery. CARs are best developed for nonsolid tumors; the depicted CAR hunts down cancer cells in a blood vessel.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is the unique ability to create something that was created in my own head. It is a way to make sense of complex science and share something so representative of the human experience.
