For this project I choose to do a sculpture of my mother and I, using clay. The sculpture is of my mother hugging me when I was younger and for me this sculpture means a lot to me for many reasons. What mainly inspired me to do this was the idea of me being done with high school and moving on to my next chapter of life. Being that this is my last project, I knew it had to be something meaningful to me. My mother instantly came to mind, I knew I wanted to interpret her into it somehow. I ended up deciding on the sculpture because my mom was the one who mainly helped me throughout school. Even on my first day of kindergarten, I didn’t cry, or get upset when my mom left. Mainly because she always made me feel strong even when she wasn’t around.

Creativity to me is expressing yourself in different forms, such as writing, painting, sculpting, speech, and more. What makes these forms of expression creative is what that individual person adds to that specific thing they are expressing themselves with.
