I wrote this poem in an effort to reflect what my mind sounds like when obsessions and compulsions from OCD become more intense. I wanted to represent the feeling of panic and urgency, and how carrying out these compusions wastes so much time. When crafting the poem, I utilized the structure and line length to convey this emotion and maintained a rhythm to reflect the constant flow of thoughts. In the end, I'm very happy with how my work came out.

To me, creativity is not being afraid to take risks - seeing the possible benefit, not the possible cost, of branching out and trying something new. Without this open mindset, nothing creative will ever be produced. Nothing in art is a bad idea when you're creative.
