• Artist Statement

  I wrote this poem at the beginning of fall as I grappled with daylight savings time, and what changes came with it. I wrote this poem after being assigned to read the article "Quality Time" by Melissa Kirsh. The article was about "the hour between dog and wolf" aka, daylight savings time. I decided to write about problems I was having with a friendship, moving on yet wanting to stay the same.

• Creative Statement

  To me, creativity is simply expressing yourself in a genuine and unique way to show the world who you are, and connect with others. I think that art in general is a crucial form of human interaction and creativity is incredibly important for that.
