• Artist Statement

  At San Marin Highschool’s Hadestown musical. The opening number of the second act with a jazzy feel. Hadestown is a musical unlike others, combining elements of blues and folk. Persephone, the character who sings this song, suffers through life with her abusive husband, Hades. This song is representing her drinking problem and unhealthy coping mechanism.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is an escape. When I’m on a stage, I feel the world shift around me, I get to wow an audience or make people laugh. I get to entertain! By putting my own twist to things I see other people do, I am confident in my works.
