Our Lassitude

I originally took this photo as a simple snapshot and considered it unimportant during my early years of learning photography. As I have grown, both personally and as a writer, I have realized that this photo had potential. It represents isolation, a consuming, tangled feeling that complicates our emotions. When isolated, it is hard to see beyond the scope; it feels suffocating, overwhelming, and inconsistent. This photo captures that sense of isolation I feel on certain days. Yet, it also has a familiarity: the symbol and silhouette of home behind a tree, which represents the subtlety of nostalgia. I edited this photo to make it more thoughtful to me and those suffering from their inner battles and indifferences.
