This piece of micro-fiction was inspired by a trip I took to Palm Springs. It is meant to be a fun read that also touches on belonging and the journey to find a sense of self. It follows a revelation that quietly ruminates from overwhelming self-expression hidden behind an eerily perfect gated community in the artificial oasis that is Palm Springs.

Creativity to me means expressing myself in an interesting and exciting way. Even if that way is twisted and taxing in the moment, some aspect of beauty and purpose is always produced in the end.
