I think the features you are born with do not define you. However, I believe they do shape you in a million ways. Your born gender is one of those: for me, as a girl/growing woman, I have felt since I was born that there are complex emotions related to simply being a girl and I hoped to express the specific parental relationships aspect of this.

As a poetry writer, creativity means the ability to put lived experiences, runaway thoughts, and moments within memories into a breathing paper (or computer). When the world lacks the color it used to have, I like to use creativity and writing as a way to color in my life again.
