Primary Personas

  • In this series of street portraits from China, I stripped the images of their original color. I then overlaid each face with a single primary color and shape. I'm curious: How does the brain associate shapes and colors? What happens when you apply these to people, and how does this alter our perception of them? These are the questions I wanted to explore. I assigned each color and shape to each person based on what instinctively felt right to me. Do you agree?

  • For me, the purpose of my creativity is to share my life experiences and observations with the rest of the world. How do I present my experiences in a way that's authentic and interesting? I answer this question artistically through my creative process.
