There is a demand to be heard in our society. My painting represents a peaceful protest for justice and equality. As they come together to advocate for equality for black people, my goal was to capture the unity and courage in action. This piece was created to emphasize the strength in standing together and expressing our concerns for a change. Even when we aren’t heard or seen, we cant back down and give up. It should push us to advocate even harder in the midst of neglect.

To me, creativity helps you express yourself in a myriad of ways. The ability to be creative allows you to communicate openly through expression and it allows you to use your mind, opening yourself to new perspectives.
