• Artist Statement

  In this piece, dual self-portraits are shown in an opposing yin-yang configuration. The rippling background around the subjects surge into the 3rd dimension, much like dark ocean waves. Around the piece, exposed raw cardboard reminds the viewer of the physical, structural reality beneath a layer of abstraction.

• Creative Statement

  To me, creativity means a conscious effort to break the mold of living a superficial life, in order to find and capture a unique experience on this world. It means challenging or highlighting all societal routine and belief, including your own.
