This piece was inspired by the song Let Down by Radiohead, specifically the lyrics "one day, I am gonna grow wings." My goal was to illustrate ultimate yearning; the snake is a metaphor for having the ability to change constantly and consistently but it cannot transform into something it truly desires to be. The doves represent purity, dreams, and love, and are centralized as a symbol of unattainable perfection. As a whole, the art is meant to remind viewers that perfection doesn’t exist, and show that there is still some tragic beauty in yearning for something distant or lost.

To me, creativity is the expression of individuality, intimacy, and novelty. In my art, creativity is about feeling and meaning; true creativity is about having a vision and turning it into something to help others understand you personally.
