From an early age, I knew I was gay. This has been something I’ve considered to be a burden, I decided to make this as a way to come to terms with the fact that I am gay and to accept my homosexuality as an extension of who I am and to no longer look at it as a burden. The heart is supposed to symbolize my heart condition. The arm symbolizes, in a comedic way, that some life-saving medication could have side effects. The two faces are there to show the mood swings that could be caused by my medication. The prep pill in my mouth is there to show how I take it daily to prevent a disease that could potentially take my life if untreated. My heart is as much a part of me as being gay is a part of me.
