A duo of poems for my grandparents. With these two poems, I wanted to demonstrate how grief can layer itself into every part of our lives. It moves with us, it follows us. Instead of thinking of our loved ones in the past, we should think about how they would have lived now and what choices they would have made. They are now watching the world through our eyes and experiencing the world through our senses. I wanted to demonstrate with these poems how we can live with the grief of loss and become the hosts to experience the future for them.

The craft of Kintsugi symbolizes creativity to me. Creativity is the delicate touch on the splintering clay that molds each fractured piece and word, each experience, into my narrative.
